Crusty White Bread

- 375g plain flour
- 1 tablespoon soft brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 265ml warm water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried yeast
- 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water
- Pollenta & sesame seeds
Make dough with flour, sugar, salt, water, oil and yeast. Do first rise.
Shape into two loaves. Sprinkle pollenta on baking trays and put loaves on. Brush with water. Rise until doubled.
Oven to 190°C. Mix egg & water, brush over loaves. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Make some 5mm cuts.
Place tin of hot water in bottom of oven. Bake until golden (25-30 mins).
Allow to cool.
Place in oven for 5 minutes just before eating to make it very crusty.
